Hi Friends,
i got a Problem using sceneartist.
I have 1 PGC with 2 Sounds. Both are 448kbsec. When i start muxing after a while i get the message: Layout Failed (See Message Window)

And in Message Window is the following:
Info No VTS<VTS_1> Language Tracks found
Info Creating DVD data (VTS Title) VTS#01
Info Preparing to multiplex track disc3_d2v_vfapi-t
Info Creating Multiplexer info
Info Multiplexing
Info Multiplexing VOB Main Stream
Error Video or Audio Buffer underflow: (Dts: 651136254, SCR 651136266)
Error dvd_mux : DoMux Multiplexing Error
Error Terminated Multiplexing (3.scn-disc3_d2v_vfapi-t_t.vob).
Error Total bitrate is too HIGH. Please reduce the stream bitrate or the number of stream.
Error Multiplex is failed.
Info Multiplexing failed, Track<disc3_d2v_vfapi-t>

Error MuxFromDB:MuxVTS failed
Error Multiplex failed
Error DVD files could not be created

If i mux only one Sound, there is no Problem. What can i do to mux the movie with both Sounds?
Many Thanks for Help!!!

The error message says it very clear. The bitrate of the whole track is too high. As I see you use a DTS stream, which has at least 768 KBit. Assuming that you re-encoded the video and used the original audio streams you used a too high bitrate for the video.
Re-encode the video with a maximum bitrate of 8000 KBit. That should solve the problem. :)

The Video is encoded with CCE at 3553Kbit. First i thaught the same you said. So i have encoded the files another time, with the same result :(
But i want to keep the Audio Streams in DTS. But they only have 448Kbit and not 768. Can this be the cause of the problem?

No, I don't think that that's the problem. The minimum DTS bitrate is 64 KBit (like AC-3).

mhhhh, then i have no longer an idea to resolv the problem :(
Do someone else have an idea? Thnaks a lot Crazyjoe

Check the video bitrate in the m2v file properties in Data Editor. Perhaps it's flagged as 9.8Mbps or other value higher than the actual bitrate. You can change the bitrate stamp (reduce it to the actual rate) using ReStream.

Something Happend, i have never thaught *fg*
I had to reinstall my windows system and of course my cce + sonic. A new try to encode the movie appeard successfull *fg*
I think the problem was in cce, thats the only program i did not try to reinstall. But now everything works fine - i hope *fg*

Thank for Help!

Ups, theres the problem again.
Shit, dont know, what i can do. I encoded the video with cce using a bitrate of 3429k. And of course i use the original AC3 Streams and 10 subpictures. Sceneartist Starts encoding and after about 30 percent the error appears again. While encoding it shows a file size of about 4,2GB. Seems to be ok, but what is the problem?
Thanks for Help again!

Open the track where error occurs in Track Editor and go to the menu Tools - Verify Track. It would show you audio, video, and total bitrate for the track. Maybe you'll find something abnormal there.

ok, did it. the appears the following message:

Info === Verification work_d2v_vfapi-t ===

I encoded the video with 4468 and another time with 3429 kbit. The audio source is the original ac3 stream. do i have to encode the audio stream? Is that the way to encode the movie?

Info Bitrate is too high.
Info === Finish.[Verification] === As you see, Scenarist recognizes video bitrate as 9.5Mbps. This value stored in the MPEG header and doesn't reflect the real bitrate. You can fix this using ReStream (http://shh.sysh.de/restream.html). This program will create a copy of your video file (work_d2v_vfapi.m2v) changing the bitrate stamp to whatever you choose (about 5Mbps) without re-encoding. Then re-import the new m2v and use it instead of the original.

You should be able to see the 9500000 bps value in the clip properties in Data Editor, so you might want to check this for all other video files.

Mhhh, but in cinema craft encoder i set the following settings: avg bitrate 4468, min 2000 and max. 9500. Why can there be a stream with at least 9500000 bps (9500kb). Sounds he took the maximum stream all the time !?! ok, i take a look at ReStream. But today i have no time. Tell you the results tomorrow.
and, i think you mean mpv, not m2v!?!

Many thanks to your great help, Dimmer.

Why, of course you have to drop the max. bitrate from 9500kbps to at most 8500kbps! That is if you want to keep more than one audio stream. Now you've got to re-encode the video all over again.

OK, set the max bitrate to 8500 and there are no more problems :)
Many thanks to Dimmer again.

I agree...DVD Video Compliant should be unchecked or it will flag your video as 9800kbit

and it doesn't matter what bitrate your video has...it may have spikes here and there...your video might be encoded as 4000kbit or 5000kbit but it might have a 9000kbit spike here and there

cce and sceneartist are very great programs, why shoud i change?
OK, i had this problem, you can read here in this topic, but i think it was a mistake of mine.
I am very Happy with this programs!
