Hey all, I do a lot of MPEG2 recording from my PVR software and generally cut the commercials and use Dr. Divx's batch mode to make everything a lot smaller in size. I've only recently started using AutoGK for movies and am extremely impressed so I'm wondering... Is it possible to make use AutoGK for this? It seems to always want DVD data as a source. The quality of the output is just so much better that I have to ask.

i use an Ati AIW , and yes AutoGK can catch mpeg file (file input) and do the magic!
The only problem is commercial cutting..., or after encoding (virtualdub) or before... (Mpeg2Schnitt, womble video wizard).
If commercial are only at beginning or at end you can use the built-in trim fuction of dgindex.
Read the FAQ ! :)

I use Womble for commercial cutting but the problem I'm having is when I select something to input into AutoGK (using the Input Directory) it just tells me that I don't have a valid DVD Directory Structure from DVD Decrypter. How do I tell it to look for MPEG2 files?

See Question 5.4 in the FAQ. Take note of the last sentence in the answer. See if that solves your problem.

Thanks! ... Sorry, I was using 1.25 so the FAQ wasn't working for me. Got it now.

Another questions for MPEG2 files :

Is it possible to select multiples MPEG2 files in AutoGK and get one single AVI (like in DVD2AVI) ?

Actually, I record DVB movies with VDR and max size for Fat32 is 2Go,
so I have to deal with 2 differents files for one movie.

Thanks for your job with AutoGK !

yes, just name them properly (i.e *_1.mpg, *_2.mpg) and select first one in AutoGK.

Thanks. Had tried *1.mpg, *2.mpg,... : no luck ;-)
