after failing several times to install DVD Rebuilder because of an immediate Runtime-error, it appears that the problem I'm having is because I'm still using W98.
Too bad that bug hasn't been squashed

anyway.....is there anywhere I can download version 49 so I can test DVD Rebuilder?

Version 50b is the last one that will work on 98se. I too hope someone will address this issue. I would attach it, but can't seem to figure out how... Doh!
:stupid:

I'm just amazed that there are still this many people using Windows 98... that's a 6 year old operating system. Have you all heard that Seinfeld is off the air too? ;) It's a good thing I wrote this code without taking advantage of files over 2GB.

yeah, good one jdobbs, Seinfeld is off the air......oh my god!

BTW isn't the 2GB barrier a limitation of the FAT16 filesystem, not FAT32.

Actually there are some other limitations to FAT32... but not NTFS. What I meant was that I purposefully wrote the code to never create files over 2GB.

With the latest batch of 'sploits out there, some of us are happy we still have it. Blackhats are bad about backwards compatibility. :D It is also quite lean on marginal systems... And I am glad for the large file limit for other reasons. 9 gig files are a pain to move around! Seriously, thanks for keeping us "Old Timers" around.
