Just saw this article on ZDNet.com. Basically it is looking to ban all P2P networks are they are no doubt always used for illegal purposes. Can't we sue gun manufacturers because their product is used to kill people? Anyways here is a link to the article:

Inducing Infringement of Copyrights Act (http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1104_2-5244796.html?tag=zdfd.newsfeed)

There is also a large base of support for the bill too in the Senate by both Democrats and Republicans alike.

I don't know but maybe it is prefferable just to drop the old thread. This one could be better suited. Anyhow it is disheartening. Hatch hatching ideas like this is nothing new. But the support he is getting is. For what ever reason several other senators seem to have jumped on board for what would seem to be a pattently bad decision for their constituants. If you were to follow the traditional definition of constituant in this instance as the public they are supposed to serve.

There is however a ray of hope. It is not directly combatting Hatch's heinous plans. But it could eventually lead to them getting the kybosh after one form or another. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78525
