Ultimately I'd like to create a compilation DVD from particular chapters on several of my DVDs.

Some of these are in 16:9 and others in 4:3. To complicate matters further I'd also like to include some material created on my standalone Panasonic DVD Recorder which seems to use 704 pixel width rather than 720.

I have heard that you can only mix 4:3 and 16:9 material on the same DVD using software which can create more than one VTS - and only very expensive authoring software does that. Is there any inexpensive software that can do this?

Also, is there a similar problem with mixing 720 and 704 pixel width material on the same DVD? i.e. would you have to have FOUR VTS's:

- one for 720 pixel 16:9,
- one for 720 pixel 4:3,
- one for 704 pixel 16:9,
- one for 704 pixel 4:3

TMPGEnc DVD Author (http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda.html) - it creates a separate VTS for each track/title.
