Is this real FILM content?

Hello.

I just bought an RC1 Anime (Armitage - The Complete OVA) and after ripping it I pushed it through DGIndex without Force Film. DGIndex's info says the movie is FILM 98%. However, the D2V file has this output:

FINISHED 98.06% FILM

As told in the DVD2AVI FAQ (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=59272) and the IVTC Tutorial (http://www.doom9.org/ivtc-tut.htm#DVD2AVIAdvice) this is not what I expected from true FILM content because the are no or only very rare cycles like 0 1 2 3. Should I use Force Film or IVTC? I should also mention that the frame type info always switches between Interlaced and Progressive.

Besides, if I applied Force Film, what Deinterlace Filter would you suggest? Is it okay to apply deinterlacing after Force Film, even if I hardly see any real interlaced frames?

its definately film.. you would use force film on it

to establish the pattern you start after the

7 2 90970112 2 1

and look at the rest.. ignore the 1's in front (like 10 11 12 13 10) that just tells you that the gop is closed which helps the decoder when seeking.. just concentrate on the second number when there are 2 digits and you will see the 0 1 2 3 pattern emerge

the flipping of prog interlace isnt uncommon.. depends on the program that added the rff flags to make the film stream play at 29.97. pulldown.exe for example causes that.. its harmless and not an indication that the stream is interlaced or not.
