Dr. Divx mmswitch.ax error

Hey, can someone help me out with this.
I get this error every time I try encoding a divx file when i leave it going overnight.

App name: dr.divx.exe
App ver: 1.0.4.0
Modname mmswitch.ax

Would be great if someone could help out.

you should uninstall/unregister the morgan stream switcher (mmswitch.ax), its known for causing troubles

still its strange that it kicks in when encoding with dr.divx! is dr.divx dshow based (i mean mms is a dshow filter)? i always thought it simply uses the vfw codec...

well if its dshow based than there must be a dshow encoder filter :D
can someone plz have a look in graphedit whether a divx5 dshow encoder is listed!

there isnt... but i dont have Dr. DivX. it could just be that it is using DirectShow for opening a file :rolleyes:

DrDivX is a strange beast indeed.... When it's happy it works well. But when something upsets it......

I wonder what DivX have got install for the next release?

They should let us guys on the Doom9 forum beta test it!

Just uninstalled Morgan Stream Switcher.
Will try encoding again tonight (hopefully without error :D)

Personally I think DrDivX has all the makings to be a really good application.

The DV input is particularly useful. So too is it's ability to allow the inputting of streams such as High-Def WMV9.

It has a friendly GUI, the cropping tool is easy to use... Stability issues aside it's very nearly there!

Uninstalling morgan stream switcher did the trick.
Seems weird that was the problem, I didn't know Dr. Divx even used that. I think i'll probably use Dr. Divx for divx encoding still. i use the big3 method to backup my favourite DVDs. Ones i dont really watch all that often I'll just do a quick Dr. Divx encode can setp in about 20 seconds :D Don't really have time to do long Divx encoding process (gordian knot) for the least favourite movies. For Ultimate movies such as

-Matrix Series
-Lord of the Rings
-Pirates of the caribbean
etc.

They deserve to be made into DVDs cos they simply rock.
