Will DVD2AVI work with CCE Basic?

I can't get DVD2AVI to work with CCE Basic 2.69. Checking the guides/Faqs, I see some references to CCE SP, and some to just CCE, but none to CCE Basic.

I can get DVD2AVI to work with CCE 2.50 SP, also with TMPGEnc, so I'm guessing the answer is "no", but I'd like an answer from one of you folks who know this better than me, 'cause I'm just a newb.

I was using eclee with the Basic version. If the basic version does work, I'll post more details of my errors.
