Hi :)

I want to convert a vhs to DVD.

It was my first vhs acquisition ,i used Doom9's guides for my work...

I used virtualdub to capture my vhs in 320x240 (i tried another resolution but the video was very bad!!!A lot of colors artefacts!)

I set "no compression",i've now a pal video (interleaved or progressive:how can i know?) at 25 fps and audio wav at 48khz 16bits stereo.

I used "null transform" to cropp the little color line at the bottom of the screen and on the left ..etc....

I have now a pal 315x232 1.36:1 video =15Go.

NOW MY FIRST QUESTION:

I want to do a start and final generic on my movie and add a mp3 song on the final generic.

Should i convert to mpeg 2 now or after the montage (adobe premiere)...sorry for my english:

video,mpeg2/ac3,adobe premiere ?

or

video,adobe premier,mpeg2(dvd) ?

I tried to follow doom9 guides so, i have extract wave file from my video then i have convert it to ac3.

The i tried to use CCE to convert my video but i seems to be very difficult.I don't understand the use of avisynth sript..etc....

on this guide,it is not say if i have to convert before or after :(

Can you help me?

Sorry for my english,

BYE :)

first of all, you have to avisynth to add a 5 pixel border on the bottom of your video...

second, you convert to mpeg2 last

third, you can use mp3trim to get the mp3 the right lenght, then mux the mp3 and video with bbmpeg, after you convert the avi to mpeg-2

Hi:)

Ok,it is to recover good aspect ratio, isn't it ? (4/3)

second, you convert to mpeg2 last

I must use adobe premiere before convert to mpeg2,isn't it?

third, you can use mp3trim to get the mp3 the right lenght, then mux the mp3 and video with bbmpeg, after you convert the avi to mpeg-2

But i don't want mp3 track but ac3.I converted my wave file to ac3 with besweet but it wasn't necessary because premiere will do it for me after...?!

THX

Bye :)
