I'm not sure why this happened but that's your problem. No audio was extracted, therefore no audio was converted, therefore no muxing took place. Hence no muxed file for DVDAuthor to find.

Well i'll try to verify that
There's no problem if I use 2 audio tracks, isn't it?

Did CCE ever run at all? If it finished normally, it should be in the log...

and how did you rip the dvd?
if have subs and the log show "Num. of subs: 0", "Audio stream 0 was not found!" and VTS_01_1 to 3 not found, maybe you don't rip the dvd as needed.

Make sure you have enough space for all the files. I've had odd errors that certaintly do not lead one to the problme which may be out of space. Once a step fails, files are not created then it ripples through. I'll usually get caught in the final authoring step and it gives that message.

Thank you all, I simply can't explain what happened with the rip, i've had it for a long time on my computer so i just don't remember how i've done it.
I never got any problems with dvd2svcd (what a fantastic software) this was the first time but it was also the first dvd2dvd backup try that i've made as a test, i've used it to make dvd from avi and it worked just fine, only a little problem with CCE when converting color to YUY2 that i've solved checking the option no color conversion wich leads me to another question, is that fine? shall i check RGB conversion?
Thanx again
