Im actually a newbie in authoring but since last week Ill been trying out tons of programs and even managed to author a complete dvd i scenarist with subtitles, animated menues with transitions and even extramaterial... or so I thought cause the dvd exported from scenarist isnt exactly problemfree even though it looked allright in the simulationwindow.
The first thing!
Before making the menu and stuff in scenarist I encoded the movie from a divx in TMPGEnc (into a m2vfile) and the audio in BeSweet (a ac3file) and put it all together into a fully working dvd in TMPGEnc DVD Author to test it in my dvdplayer and it worked out really nice. But still this was only the movie and sound and I wanted to add more stuff!
The problem is that when I imported these files in scenarist it first seemed to work but the result wasnt good.
The movie is stuttering almost as it seems to be a bitrateproblem (i used bitrate 8000kbs and later tried 6000kbs but it is the same for both). And the audio is out of sync too and is acting really weird! Sometimes its a couple secs before the movie, sometimes a couple of seconds after! And if I try to change chapter it really screws up!
I dont know what to do next since these files works great when using TMPGEnc DVD Author so how come they dont work well in scenarist?!? This problem occurred both on my dvdplayer and when playing on the computer. No problems in the simulation window. The subtitles works and are displayed at the correct times.
The second thing!
Im having some really strange menuproblems when I export but I havnt really looked into it since it all doesnt matter if I cant get the movie to work!
For example after playing an intromovie it changes to my rootmenu. The problem is that it only changes the sound and subpicture and keeps whats on the screen.. I can still se my buttons and go to another menu (which has the same problem).. The problem occurred on my dvd player but not when playing on my computer using the dvdfiles. No problems in the simulation window.
Drawing those animated menus was a real pain and it would be really sad if all my work was for nothing so please if you have any suggestions, anything at all, I would be glad!
