I decided to try the libavcodec DV encoder in the latest ffdshow build by Athos. I opened a DV file in VirtualDubMod and chose the ffdshow Video Codec for video compression. I configured the codec to use DV compression.
Well, a new DV AVI file was created by VDMod, but when I open it with VDubMod it either crashes or the picture is completely garbled. I can't play the file either, so there's something badly wrong with it.
Has anybody ever created a good DV AVI file with the libavcodec DV encoder in ffdshow?
