What is the easist way to creat a video in iDVD that is widescreen. At school I have a bunch of anamorphic video's and want to put them on a dvd with anamorphic widescreen, I know that iDVD does not support widescreen and DVD studio does, but iDVD is my only option

How can you expect to make an anmorphic DVD with iDVD only if it doesn't support it?
However, if you can get ahold of a PC, you can fix that using freeware. Before authoring, ensure that your anamorphic MPEG-2 video is flagged as such. The flag is actually stored within MPEG header, and you can view and update it to 16:9 using ReStream (see download page). It accepts only elementary .m2v streams, so you might need to demux your mpegs first.
Then author a 4:3 DVD so it would look "squeezed" on a 4:3 screen, transfer it to a PC's HDD, and set 16:9 flag using IfoEdit in each VTS_xx_0.IFO file where it says Titleset (Movie) attributes. Don't mix 16:9 and 4:3 content in one VTS.
