Rebuilder 0.53, CCE SP 2.67, Saving private Ryan region 2 (PAL).

Dvd decrypter and dvd2avi both say this dvd has only two tracks: 6ch English and 6ch Spanish.

But when I started dvd rebuilder, it stated that there are 6 more tracks besides these two. These 6 other tracks are marked as 6ch English and I have no idea why is this happening.

The encode process is near completion. I chose to keep only the first 6ch English, and we'll see how it goes.

Can someone explain why is this happening? This is my first dvd rebuilder job so I have no idea if it can happen with any other dvd. But I have long experience with xvid conversions and I trust fully the results from dvd decrypter and dvd2avi (dgindex, precisely).

Use IFOEDIT and look into the IFO for the VTS that reports all the languages... it should match what you see. DVD-RB get's it's information from the IFO.

This is a DVD Maestro authoring mark, it will always show 8 audio tracks and 32 subs track, but they are all empty tracks except the real ones. They do not appear when you manually change the language on your remote because they are just dummies.

This shouldn't hurt anything and the reencoding should work ok. If you deselect audio tracks, DVD-RB will remove them -- but only as the actual packets are encountered during rebuild. Since they aren't really there, they won't be encountered.

Thx, Lagoon.

Job has completed successfully and I am very pleased with the results. No problems with audio part whatsoever. Anyway, the size reduction was about 50% and the video still looks great. All credit goes to CCE, really...

Jdobbs, the hell of an app you got there! Thanks for the effort. I hope that dvd rebuilder will continue to grow.
