AAC on AVI to WAV/AC3

I've got a video (AVI) with an AAC audio track. What I want to do is convert it too AC3 (or WAV if that isn't possible)so I can wack it on DVD. How would I go about doing this?

EDIT: OK, after much searching around I have found a method that actually works. Using GraphEdit. Probably not the best method but it actually worked and quickly. What method should I use?

OK now that I have my ac3 files, I can't join them!:( Could someone post an example of joining some ac3 files in BeSplit, I'm a n00b at this stuff:confused:

The Audio FAQ has an example of joining .ac3 soundtracks -- see the Audio Encoding forum. Specifically, Q5 in the AC3/SPDIF section.

Is that correct?

Inside of list file is:

F:\encodes\audio-1.ac3
F:\encodes\audio-2.ac3
F:\encodes\audio-3.ac3
F:\encodes\audio-4.ac3

What am I doing wrong? It just did nothing, no errors.
