problem with reencoding newer xvid into mpeg2

Hello all,
I have some serious problems encoding XviD files of newer date into mpeg1 or mpeg2 by using TMPGEnc.
The files are playing properly with all players I've got. But if I try to encode them into another format it seams like every second frame was dropped.
So I tried it with reencoding into DivX and even into XviD by using VirtualDubMod...same result!!!
I've never had such probs before! Encoding XviD into mpeg1 or 2 always was a little difficoult, but the results always were proper.
Any ideas how I can handle that shit?!?

I'm using
WinXP Pro Corporate (without any SP)
XviD Codec 1.0-09052004 (allso tried 0.9)
DivX 5.1.1 (allso tried 5.0.2)
Tsunami small 3.8.9

AMD Athlon 1700+
512 MB DDR

Ok, here's a little report of what I have done. The short version:
I've nuked the wole bunch of codecs and reinstalled all the codecs I need at present. And...it works again!!!
The only thing that still drives me nearly insane, is the warning that "every" encoding tool gives in the first frame of encoding:
NOTHING TO OUTPUT BFRAME ENCODER LAG! Does enybody know what that words try to say me?!?
Anyway, the output is proper and playes back on my hardware DVD player without any probs.
Especially for Dav3 who's sent me an email:
If you decide to try that, too, reinstall the XviD codac last.
I wonder, what will happen, when I install a newer DivX next time LOL
