Ok I did allot of playing around with it, and in time I found the problem only occurs with XVID files, so I went hmmmm and did more testing, then I found the cause; if you have WINDVD installed it will take over playing XVID files (but not DIVX) which in turn is what causes all the problems. What you need to do is just look for "MP4VDEC.ax" (C:\Program Files\InterVideo\Common\Bin) and rename it. after that XVID files will play using the original XVID codec and import just fine into TMPG.

Hope this helps .

Anything you wish, as long as Windows doesn’t find Intervideo Mpeg4 codec, it would revert for the original installed Xvid codec.

The problem that i have with TMPGEcn 3.0 Express is this message error:

"An error occured during a transmission with the VFAFI Frame Server."

With some movies, when i go to the "cut-edit" settings and try to work with the bar.

I tried what you said and nothing, perhaps is has nothing to do with that.:(

Do you know anything about this problem?

It sounds like the same problem I described, but individual cases always exists, sorry it didn’t solve your situation, it maybe something wrong with the file itself. Do you have the same problem under TMPG 2.5?
