hello,
Is it wise to use the luminance filter in dvd2avi or should i just do that with ffdshow during post procsessing.Do the effects of the filter realy have a good impact on the final result,or is it wiser to not touch it.
Greets;) ;) ;)

The luminance filter is fine to use if its adjustment serves your purpose.
Regarding using it versus ffdshow, that depends upon whether you want the adjustment to become permanently part of the video, or if you are going to require anybody viewing it to have ffdshow. I don't see any reason not to apply it if it meets your needs.

tnx for the reply.
the usage of this is more for darker flicks.
to brighten things up a bit.but i tought i read somewhere(can't remeber where)that applying this filter could distort the final file a bit and make it more blur and take away some of the sharpness
then if it was not used.
I don;t know if that's true or not.It also maybe vital how high you set the offset and gamma:rolleyes:

It does a gamma adjustment, which is not the same as a simple brightness adjustment. If that doesn't suit your needs, then use Tweak() or another appropriate filter.
