i have seen and heard many different opinions on the bundled software.. prompted by todays news, saying that microsoft should include an antivirus software with free (via windows update maybe) definition updates.. yet so many people wanted microsoft to remove other pieces of bundled (however useful to some people, who don't feel like downloading an alternative) software..
i for one do not use internet explorer (except for updates), windows media player (its not even installed on the machine), outlook express (never been run, removed from program list but we know what that does....), etc.. but i am thankful that they are there, because some people need things to be presented for them..
i was wondering what other people thought on the matter..
should an operating system come with a ton of software (as most unix builds do, the ports section)... if so, should it be like unix? everything uninstalled by default? and if those are what you prefer, is unix or any *nix build more to your liking.. but then would come software compatibility issues, i have used freebsd as a main pc, and it can be quite complicated to get surround sound and good video out of...
anyways.. people gotta have some kinda opinion..
