When I am watching DVD movies, they are not playing smoothly. What is wrong ? My comp: AMD 750 Mhz, 258 RAM, GeForce2 32 MB, new DVD drive, win98

Usually the culprit is the DMA setting of your dvd drive isn't enabled. With win9x, I believe you right click on the dvd drive, check the settings where it says DMA, check it and restart (best make sure your hard drive is DMA also). it may also be done in device manager, I believe. If that doesn't help, sorry I don't know anything else, except maybe try a different software player, or adjust the options in your current player
