Hi. I manage to remove the introclip and still keep the menus, subpictures ... i dont remeber how, now i have another movie with alot of commercial and idiotic clips b4 the main movie and menus.

tried re-author with dvd shrink but then i cant keep the menus, only as movieclips.

I bet this is a common topic, but what is the key search word for these topics that have talked about this?

I dont understand how i manage to do it last time really.
But if i go along with not keeping the menus just the movie, re-author is okey with dvd shrink then, but will the subs also follow?

the subs always follow no matter what the mode u r working on in shrink.

If u dont switch to reauthor mode u can convert the movie and keep the menus etc. For the stuff u don't want to keep u can reduce to still pictures and remove their sound.

yes i tested to re-author it then the menus is gone but movie is there with subs, really nice. menus are only cool stuff, not takes extra time b4 you can watch the movie, so doesnt matter really =)

EDIT:I wrote this up before I saw you were happy with re-author mode, but didn't want it to go to waste.

DVD Shrink can't remove titles, only shrink them down to a very small size like oddyseus said. This is good enough for extras you don't plan on watching, but can be really annoying for logo's and forced trailers "previews" before you get to the main menu.

So you basically have 2 choices:

1. buy a 1-click program that can remove titles. Most commercial ones can. I know Nero Recode and Instant Copy 7/8 can.

2. Use DVD Shrink and then remove/strip or skip the titles as a seperate process (either before or after using DVD shrink).

For free you can use DVD Stripper. It's fairly easy to use although you probably will have to read a guide.

Also, for free you can use 2Cool's guides in the ifo edit forum. They aren't very hard to follow, but can be intimidating for newbies.

For money you can purchase DVD Remake. It has a much better interface than DVD Stripper, and is very newbie friendly. It also gives you the ability to edit menus and insert new video. The menu edit functionality is great for deleting buttons for audio/sub tracks or extras you have removed.

How do you remove titles with recode? I thought it only replaced them with a picture.:confused:

Wish you weren't. It would be nice if Recode could remove titles like DVD95Copy.:)
