no sound in avi when playing in certain media players

i tried playing an avi that i had in viplay and i get no audio, yet when i tried playing it in crystal player i get audio

gspot says i have all the codecs that i need so whats the problem?

Hey Dead, i had a similar problem to yours not too long ago. Gordian knot had updated to xvid 1.0 so i uninstalled all my old codecs and software and reinstalled them with the new gordo knot. In the process zoom player borked and had no audio even though it was fine in bsplayer and windows media. What i had to do was uninstall zoom player and reinstall a newer version (the same version didnt work for me). I suggest you uninstall viplay and use a registry cleaner to clean out the registry, then install a newer version if possible of viplay and see if that works for you.
