I'm having a bad time ripping this DVD.
I've ripped many DVDs w/ Decrypter and had no problems.
This one DVD just won't go correctly.
What I get is some sort of directors cut overlaid on the movie. Intro, peeps yapping, sketches, etc.
I am using disk 1
I've tried doing stream processing and unchecking director's cut on the audio (this takes care of audio issues, but the vid is still FUBAR.)
Has anyone successfully ripped this DVD and if so how?
Thanks.

Gidday,I used SHRINK first and then DECRYPTER and there were no problems at all, mind you it was the very first movie i every did, since then i've done about 60 movies so far and I haven't come across a problem that sounds similar to yours.I know this isn't really an answer however you now know that it has and can be done.

Hi-
As usual, DVD Decrypter chooses the longest PGC, in this case PGC 3 for the R1 DVD. That's the one with the video commentaries and the other junk. On my copy, it shows as 2 hours and 16 minutes long. But, PGC 1 contains just the movie, and is 1 hour and 40 minutes long. Just highlight that one when in IFO mode and you'll be OK.

I had the same problem. One reason you should always keep the original ISO on you HHD until your finished encoding (provided you have space). I still got it done though. I had to manually split each VOD into cells. Delete each VOB that wasn't part of movie. Merge remaining VOBS. And then DVD2AVI and Gordian Knot as usual. ;)

Hi there,
This is the very 1st movie I ripped and It works gr8. I used DVD Decrypter in File Mode, Selected all the files in avd dumped in to my HDD. Then later using DVDx and XviD I transcoded it to a 1 CDR rip. Looks gr8 to me :)
Hope this helps.

I have had the same prob with Matchstick-men. I converted the whole thing and used Virtual Dub to get rid of the non-movie crap.
