Ok, I've always used the standard divx codec to decode my divx files, just normal one I got from divx.com. Well today I installed WinDVD and then was playing around with Gspot and noticed that my Divx codec is no longer listed in my list of possible decoders for my divx files. All that is there now is Intervideos mpeg4 decoder. My first question, is why is my normal Divx decoder not listed anymore. And my second question, would one of these decoders be "better" than the other, or does it not really matter? Thanks in advance for all your help guys.

You should try FFDShow.
It's very good.
And also can be used as postprocessor for non-MPEG4 content.

Never messed with ffdshow before, but I installed it anyway. In Gspot Intervideo's decoder is still the only one listed. Should I see FFDShow there?

Don't know about Gspot.
Look for 'Configuration' in Run->Programs->ffdshow.
There are a lot of settings.
