Searching around didn't find me any threads about this, so... I want to make video DVDs from movies and TV shows pulled off of my RePlayTVs. I have .mpg files (MPEG-2?) What is a good, reliable, program that's easy for a beginner to use and inexpensive (or free)? I see some programs are like $500... maybe they do some whiz-bang things that'll be neat to be able to do after I have some idea of what I'm doing, but for now, simple is good... :-) Also, if there are any FAQs that cover this sort of thing... I'm just bumbling around in the dark right now :-)

You should certainly try TMPGEnc DVD Author (http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda.html). However, if it finds your MPEG files non-compliant with DVD standard then it's a whole new issue. Either way, this entire site is one great FAQ, you just have to use the Search button.
