I don't know if this is a basic question or not, but since I'm a Newbie, I thought I'd post here. I have tried to search for answers, but to no avail.

I have been playing around with DVD Lab (excellent software, btw) but I am having a couple of problems, one big and two small.

1. I am able to make motion menus (thumbnail scene selections) for my DVD. However, I am not able to add Audio to the motion menus. I have an AC3 file that I am trying to use. It works fine on still menus. I also made a short video clip, with VOB files that I joined, and added the AC3 file to that with no problem. I think the problem is that because the Menu is Mpeg 2 instead of M2V (is there a difference?) it won't allow it. Is there some way to make the audio compatible with the motion menu?

2. The motion menus are hard to navigate through on my Set-Top DVD player. I often have to wait until the menu loops to make a selection, or move the cursor. Any advice on that?

3. Lastly, I have a clip from the Matrix (lobby shooting spree), and when I play it on my set-top player (works fine on computer), the clip freezes up, and stops completely. I know when I have ripped this file in the past with DVD Shrink, it came up with several chapters, instead of just one. Is this what is causing the problem? Is there any way to correct this?

I'd be thankful for any advice, but the first question is the one I'm the most worried about. Thanks.

I think I figured out the first problem in the wee hours of the morning last night/this morning. I found some software that allows you do demux the mpeg stream, and outputs a m2v file. I thought if I could do that and then remux with the ac3 file, it might work. However, being as tired as I was, I simply dragged and dropped both files to my menu and it worked!! (at least on test compile). I will be trying the real thing later, but I have a good feeling about this one. I'm pretty happy with myself that I diagnosed the problem correctly in my above post. :D

edit: It did work, and that also cleared up the issue with the scene selections, it is much smoother now. So I guess I figured it out but thanks for the moral support. :sly:

edit: I solved my last problem as well. I was using a VOB as my source file, I demuxed it and put in the elementary streams and now the Matrix scene plays fine.
