I tried a second movie after the Lord Of The Rings. The movie was Blade 1 but the disc was not playable from my standalone.

Also when i saw that the discs dont play i changed
1)dvd-writer
2)tried to burn with RITEK G04 DVD-R instead of PHILIPS DVD-RW
3)tried varius programs to burn the DVD-VIDEO FILES
but nothing worked

Since i cant find a solution i want to ask why DVD-RB has not the same compatibility like DVDShrink,InstantCopy 8 (both work perfect on me and my friends). What is exactly this thing that made my DVD-RB copies not to run on my dvd-player ?If i assume that it's DVD-RB fault how can this kind of compatibility issue be solved?

The discs play perfect on my PC and the quality is outstanding

I had the same problem until I took the output from DVD-RB and ran it through DVDShrink with "no compression".

This "fixes" output to play on my standalone and creates an .iso for burning with DVDdecrypter.

Already tried that but it didn't work.I will try it again.I used three programs ,Clone Dvd - DvdShrink - InstantCopy 8 with latest update.

it could be your standalone that has a problem with burned media?

Hi,

Did you tried your burned disks on your friends standalones? Might not work for you but with your friends might work perfectly, assuming you are burning the files correctly.
What is your standalone(brand)?

Why not use Nero6 in VIDEO-DVD mode? Works every time, and you cant mess up unless you put the files in the root :P

Also, dont use weirdo symbols for the volume label. Do it like "THIS_MOVIE". Not "Ãí übér älléþ"

No use wasting DVD-R if you know DVD-RW works. It works if it works.

What kind of player are you using?

"why DVD-RB has not the same compatibility like DVDShrink,InstantCopy 8"

Because they aren't in beta.

Hehe.. and IC8 costs lots of $$$.

Today my friend brought back some movies he borrowed earlier and complained that one had audio dropouts, I said oh it could be this new cool encoder program I used thats still beta. But then I remembered that it was a DVDShrink backup! So, perfect schmerfect ;)

PS. No complaints thus far with his Pioneer and RB-backups.

Indeed, please look up the meaning of 'beta' and 'beta test'. Helpful info: Version numbers lower than 1.0 usually denote beta status.
