hey all, I have a bunch of live shows in mp3 format that I would like to split into 2-5 minute tracks. My car CD player doesn't remember where it was in the track when I turn the power off, and thus seeking through an hour long track whenever you turn the car off is a real pain.

I have tried cool mp3 splitter and it works well, but it costs $ and i'm a cheapskate and don't really want to pirate. Can BeSweet or some other freeware audio program achieve this with ease?

thanks in advance

hello,

there's a commandline tool called mp3splt (http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net/) on sourceforge for exactly that purpose.
it surely isn't the only option, but works good.
