I have a home movie which was in 3 files (so i could fit it onto 3 CD's) but now I have a dvd burner i want to put it on to one DVD. I have done this a few times with other stuff ive done before and had no problems, however I get to the stage where i have my vob files etc. When i try to use DVD Shrink to get them to the correct size it comes up with an error, saying VTS_1_7.vob is missing, but it didnt create one when i encoded it (or what ever you call the process of going from .mpg to .vob) If there is no file there, why is DVD Shrink telling me i need one?

Can anyone offer any help please?

Thanks Dunc

Edit
==================================

Ok The error says exactly:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.

Failed to open the file "C:\filename\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_7.VOB"

The system cannot find the file specified.

There isnt a _7.VOB i know that, but i don't know why it would need one?

If i copy the VTS_01_6.VOB file and rename it ...01_7.VOB it says im missing 01_8.VOB

Anyone shed any light here or help me out please? :(

Thanks again Dunc.

Certainly u have made an error during your procedure that mislead shrink into thinking there r more files to pick up.

Can u give us some more info on the proc that created the vob files?

I had 3 .bin's
I loaded them up in daemon tools, and copied the mpg's so i had 3 mpg's.

I used TPMEnc to cut and merge them all into one.

I used Nero Encoder to make the vob files from the one mpg.

And then i come to the error shown above. I've tried using other programs like DVD2One and it still comes up with an error saying something about it being the wrong sample rate:confused:

Are you able to play the dvd from the saved directory using a viewer on the computer?
