How many variants of DivX3 were there in total ?
I think the one on Doom9s site is the original, I remember there was also a VKI version, but thats all I can remember.
Also, High Motion vs Low Motion was just how motion detect worked in the codec, was it not ?

There were a large number of codec of what you call divx 3.11
some are codec sided (mainly different f4cc used, with more or less abuse...) you might have a look on http://www.fourcc.org/ and count the number of F4CC attributed to mpeg'v3 hacks & clones...
some are encoding applications sided, which little changes to the codec... for example vki was a mix between usage of low & hi motion codec to try to take advantage of both codec settings....
and it used a codec with variable keyframe interval instead of the traditionnal one...
while nandub used the normal version of the codec (divx 3.11, still an hacked version of mpeg4v3)...
And I m not counting the differences in version of each playback filter possible...

Hi-motion & low-motion refers to the same codec,
they are just two differents settings, where one was supposed to be better at high motion and one better for low motion,
with nandub final settings, we ended using only low motion, probably because the switch from low to high motion was too noticeable and probably because the low motion was better in overall, but now that's history :)

Thanks for the Info
Im playing around with a media player/server I just recently got. It plays MPEG-4 fine, but no DivX3. I don't expect it to play these files, but I have read some reports where it has played for people. I was attempting to track down a perticular version that might work. No Luck so far.
