hiho,
i mostly use only the resize tab of gknot but its output resolution max is 800x..., so is there any version or any other tool where i can crop and proper resize the clip above 800px width, sth. like 1280 eg.?

You can change the resolution manually by editing the AviSynth script (.avs file). When the "Save & Encode" window pops up, merely click the Edit button. Look for the resizing filter, and change the resolution. I recommend previewing first, if there is an error (like a missing comma) you'll find out before submitting the encoding jobs.

yes but i dont know the proper sizes
as input i have 1920x1088 (16:9) after croping sth like 1912x808
for normal dvd resos i use the great slider to get a good resolution without much ar errors and proper 16:9 format
and since i am not that good at mental arithmetic i dont know which values i should take when i edit the avs manually?!

You may want to spend time in the HTDV forum, which is where I found

@ fatxy,
as input i have 1920x1088 (16:9) after croping sth like 1912x808
It seems to me that correct value after cropping shold be:1920x808
Pixel mattrix that is transmited is 1920x816, bottom 8 lines are black so after cropping it is 808 lines.
For DVD resulted pixel mattrix could be 720x576 with DAR 16:9,
or 720x416 with 1:1
Fatxy please report what is value in MB for 1 minute record, ~130MB/minute?
It is better to keep matrix as 720x576 for more detailed picture.
