Ogg Direct Show filter is getting old...

Is there any chance that the direct show filter for ogg gets an update?
Would be great to see a version basing on aoTuV...

Ogg Direct show filter is just decoder. If you mean acm version of Vorbis i think that project died years ago and is not going to be updated. By the way why you need that?

Aotuv version produces standard vorbis streams. Aotuv did just some tuning. They can be decoded with any normal Vorbis decoders.

The ogg vorbis package consist of four filters

* Ogg Splitter (splits Ogg files into the different Ogg streams)
* Ogg Multiplexer (does the mupltiplexing of several Ogg streams into a file)
* Vorbis Encoder (encodes PCM audio to vorbis. CBR and VBR modes)
* Vorbis Decoder (decodes vorbis audio to PCM or IEEE float)

I was looking for Ogg Encoding without external apps, doesn´t the direct show filter work? I probably need an ACM codec then?

this issue has been discussed very often already (even a few days ago) and it will not change simply because a new thread gets started about it every month :rolleyes:

Well strictly speaking the audio forum would not be totally correct either. OGM is more a container or format topic. And as such might be better discussed in the new formats section. Wink wink nudge nudge say no more. ;)

Someone has just given us a pointer to an alternate OGM splitter based on that of Gabest's Media Player Classic.
