Dear Diary,
what a day: beautiful weather, Zidane at his best and "Knocking on Heavens Door" getting squashed to an average DRF of 2.86 ... The details:
- movie: Knockin' on Heavens Door (rather mediocre, length: 1:26, res. 704x304, target size: 644 MBytes)
- codec: Xvid 1.0.1, default settings plus adaptive quant, gmc, qpel and Trellis all on, minimum quants set to 2, VHQ=3; matrix used: MPEG
- filtering: Lanczos resize / undot
It is worth mentioning that almost all p-frames got quant 2 and almost all b-frames quant 4. That's what I call compressibility ...
I think I'm in love with Xvid. I'm wondering where this will get me ... The future will be bright with the right sources.
Yours faithfully,
Thoralf.
edit: used the correct AR this time. didn't mean to lie to you, dear diary.
