I've done a few conversions now, mainly my TV series discs to xvid. I use 720xWhatever for all my encodes.
Just wondering, why do people use lower resolutions like 640x* or 512x*. I realise that lower resolutions mean lower bits to encode the frame, and that 640x* is acceptable, but is there any other reason why 720 isnt used very much?
