Hello!
Your AutoGK is a very good tool, easier than GordianKnot to use. So I used it the past months (since I stumbled on it) and it worked. Now that I updated to 1.35 it doesn't work anymore. As I can read here, many other people have some problems, too. Would you please be so kind to explain the reasons why...
a) it MUST be DVD Decrypter to rip a DVD (I use it anyway, but there are other rippers)?
b) it has to be ripped in IFO mode? I use AutoGK for instance to convert DVB recordings (which are in DVD stream format and are authored by me with IfoEdit into a DVD), but this isn't accepted anymore.
c) AutoGK auto-crops without having the option to disable it? There are channel logos together with those black bars to fill 16:9 to 4:3 aspect and these bars/logos are sometimes cut in half (looks weird)
d) how can someone 'misuse' AutoGK?? All we want to get are AVIs...
e) we have to rip a DVD with that extra information files DVD Decrypter produces? I have never used these so I disabled the creation of them in DVDDec.
Sorry, if some of these question were already asked. I tried a test DVD with output of the extra .txt files and now AutoGK accepts.
So, do I need to cheat AutoGK from now on with that stream info file put into my VIDEO_TS directories of my authored DVB recordings?
Other way round: do you or any other one around here know a way to create this info file without ripping a DVD? As I look on it, it seem to contain valuable information for AutoGK.
TIA!
Thanks for the effort you put into AUTOGK.
