Have been using "DVDdecrypter" method in file mode rather than creating an "iso".Would I experience an improvement if the backup is ripped with DVDShrink in "movie only" method to take out all the extras etc???It seems to reduce some movies by 2 Gig or more which would seem to give DVD-RB alot more to work with...Has anyone had positive results in quality improvement with this method???

Of course, movie only will give you the best results for long movies. But I havent needed it yet with 3pass CCE.

Just remove the other audio languages, try to process/shrink the menu prior to dvd-rb and use halfd1 and 35% or more reduction for the extras.

With difficult movies like LOTR ROTK, saving 140MB off the menu in movie only might not give you much better results though.

I agree. I'm very careful about keeping high quality because I occassionally watch my movies on a friend's 65" HDTV, and I wouldn't bother with removing 140MB worth of menus.
