i dont kno what's the least painful way to do the above
i have a feeling that i have to extract the mpegs then just create a dvd from scratch. usually i loose quality doing that
is there a more easier way in which i will not loose quality, im not into dvd menus
i just want this brokendown down svcd movie into 1 dvd (period)
pls help, thanks.

i hav the test.mpa and test.m2v files
then after i patch the mpa with DVDPatcher
the last thing to do on step 3 is:
There's one more thing not to be forgotten: After compiling your project, you will have to start DVDPatcher again, load the first VOB file and reset the horizontal size to 480. Repeat this for ever VOB file. Do NOT forget to do this!
problem is there's no VOB file
all i have is the mpa and m2v.
wat am i doing wrong?

After compiling your project
you forgot this step by any chance?? you'll need a dvd authoring program, load your m2v and mpa files, assemble them in the way you want (create a menu if you want) and compile the project. you'll end up with a bunch of ifo, bup and vob files then...
for more details, check the guides!

@manborn
if u'r brave enough u can try dvdlab. ( description's here (http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/tutorial/svcd.html) ) it's the only way working well for me. if u're braver u can add many plesant extras to your svcd-dvd (menue, intro, ...) with dvdlab.
