Is "Reduction level for dvd-5", does it mean that is the percentage of video compression? Is 52.8% considered good? I'm new to using this program. I've used other programs like dvd shrink and dvd2one. I would appreciate any comments. Thanks.

In your case the output would have to be sized to 52.8% of the original.

That number is pretty typical and, using CCE, would very like give you a good looking backup -- but whether it is considered "good" would depend on the compression level of the original DVD. For example, a 90-120 minute movie that was reduced that much probably would not be distinguishable from the original, while a 3 hour movie might.

Thanks for the explanation.

Just bear in mind that the quality of CCE is far superior to that of DVDShrink and other similar programs when they go through the same compression ratio.
