Hey guys, I followed the SVCD-> dvd guide perfectly and am having playback issues. I used tmpg dvd authoring software and Windows Media Player will not play it (Says this pin cannot use the supplied media type), PowerDVD plays it but there is a green screen that is flickering and the video that you see almost looks like 2 video streams running at the same time and Divx Player just freezes up.

When I put the dvd into my home theatre (Playstation 2 dvd) it says TV format does not match or something similiar. Should I have used NTSC even tho the guide specified PAL?

EDIT: While running it in TMPGEnc DVD authoring Preview window I noticed a lot of green noise on the right half of the screen flickering. It covers the right 1/8 of the screen and is present in all the frames.

Alright well since noone is biting let me ask this. I read the basics on NTSC and PAL and understand how each work. If I have a region 1 dvd player (at least i think it is. . It's a Playstation 2) and I'm in the US (NTSC) can I view an SVCD that has been converted to DVD format (using the guide on this website--- SVDC->DVD-R guide)? Or do I have to convert this to NTSC format?

EDIT: Alright I believe I figured out my problem. I misread the guide and used DVDPatch to change my resolution to 576x352. The guide said to make sure to change the vob files back, and instead I loaded the vobs and converted them to 576x352 (which they were already at---this was causing the noise) instead of 576x480. Making this change eliminated the green noise I was seeing in the preview window.
