Hi all of you!
I am just about to abandon .avi as container and OGM suits me fine. This far, I've muxed two movies to OGM, The matrix and Matrix reloaded.
I pretty much followed the ogg stream guide here on doom9.org. Encoded audio to ogg@0.4. Encoded a soundless xvid in GK and muxed with OGM mixer. English & Swedish subtitle streams was muxed also.
I've got no problems with The Matrix, but Reloaded is another story. Subs work, no problems with video but audio is out of sync. How do I fix it and what have I done wrong? I hope someone has time to help
(I tried seaching, but I didn't find anything)
(I can post my gk log if you wan't to, I don't know If sync problems have anything to do with that so I didn't post it)

You need to find out the audio _offset_ (when using smart ripper or dvddecrypter you find it in the filename of the ac3 files, i.e. "*_DELAY_-88ms.ac3".

Set that offset in i.e. OggMux and the sound is synch.

You should spend some time reading and understanding the ripping guides on Doom9, that will prevent you from running into such troubles again.

Sorry Koepi, I do feel embarrased now :o
Actually, I encoded the sound to ogg. Must have forgotten to set the delay in OagMachine. I should have understand it, but it isn't mentioned in the "Ogg Media Stream Guide" on this site, at least I can't fins it.
Anyway, thanks a bunch Koepi! I'll think before I open my mouth (well, type) next time!

I'm glad the problem was really that simple :)

Don't feel embarrassed, we're all human and as such we sometimes forget something ;)
