I'm a newb to filtering and would like to ask for a recommendation for a basic filter(s) for cleaning up a VHS to DVD transfer (movie: scarecrows). To clarify, it appears it was originally a VHS source that was transferred to a DVD. It has a fair amount of noise, a lot of dark scenes, but picture isn't too bad really.
Any ideas for a start would be appreciated...
thanks

Now this is a great tutorial on noise filters.
Very well done!
Thanks a bunch!!! Saved your page to my favorites!
Will be using Pixeldust, on my VHS tape tonight!

First, thanks for the link.
I'm curious to find out how my ideal combination of filters stacks up in the eyes of experts.
Would you please rate this following combination?
