View Full Version : Problems with DivX-coding

When I'm trying to make a an uncompressed DV-AVI file into DivX with Dr. DivX and DivX Pro 5.0.5 something strange occurs.

The coding process is completed fine and the video works fine in Media Player, but it doesn't work properly in VLC. When I run the file from start it works fine, but if I fastforward the movie the sound dissapears.

I thought this was due to some codec-conflicts in my own computer, but others have also tried to watch this video, and have experienced similiar problems. Some have had the same problems, others aren't even able to watch the video.

This has happened to the last two videos (two completely different videos) I've coded with Dr. DivX, and the same problems occurs.

Does anybody have the slightest idea of what could be wrong?

Thx

Laszlo

DrDivX strikes again!

I have to confess I don't know what type of 'internal' Mp3 encoder DivX uses for DrDivX but it sure does not sound as good as the ones you can install yourself.

What version of VLC do you have installed... and why use VLC?

Dr DivX uses the LAME encoder :)

Which version of Dr DivX are you using? 1.0.4 should work fine:

That said, it's probably a 'spec' build. Specially for you guys at DivX... yes!

Well, In my case, I have the Dr. DivX version 1.0.4 Build 63, and it does not work fine.
