I have a peculiar problem:

I am using virtual dub (newest released version)

and my problem is that while using the LEADtools mjpeg video codec which I purchased at their website my capture length cannot exceed 30 minutes. It always crashes after about 20-30 minutes of capturing.

Yes, I can use huffyuv, but i bought this one to use!

Thanks guys,

-Mike

I have had no problem recording for hours with this excellent codec. I have notice that on one of my workstations I can't use their own codec, all others of the codecs supplied work, Didn't have this problem with the demo.

Have you contacted their support?

It still doesn't work.

what settings are you using?

I have used just about any setting there is, I don't have any idea what to tell you unless there is a timed event set in your capture software.

Does any other codec do it with the same capture program. Is the harddrive set unlimited capture file space?

well I figured out what it is...

When I leave the computer idle, it stops.

So I guess I'm out of luck =(

What do you mean idle? When I do a two hour capture I walk away and if lets say I come back 2.5 hrs later it is still capturing blue screen from the VCR.

I fixed it by setting my configurations in windows to never turn my moniter off, I just used the presentation mode...

works fine now, captured 40 minutes with no problem, sure I can do more than that.

thanks
