CD autolauncher for multiple format .AVIs ?

G'day,

I want to start adding autorun menus to my movie CDs.
I read the doom9 guide (http://www.doom9.org/autorun_divx.htm) on the matter, but when comparing it with what's on offer at the downloads page (http://www.doom9.org/software2.htm#launchers), I'm guessing that the guide may be a little out-dated.

Any way, most of the autolaunchers there seem to be for divx CDs.
I do most of my encoding as xvid, but sometimes I still use divx5.05pro.
Typically, I will always do DVD extras (such as Deleted scenes) with xvid, but if I'm then having trouble fitting the main feature on the same disc as an xvid, then I use Divx5 for the main & do the credits at 20%.

In this case, I need an Autolauncher that can check for both xvid & Divx5 codec, then install either or both as required (preferably silently).

Can somebody please suggest what autolauncher program might best suit my needs.
If u haven't had experience with this situation in particular, but can recomend some other autolauncher programs that I could try (other than those available on the downloads page (http://www.doom9.org/software2.htm#launchers) that is), please, suggest away.

In my search for "Compact Disc Autorun" (mentioned in guide (http://www.doom9.org/autorun_divx.htm), but not available @ download page (http://www.doom9.org/software2.htm#launchers)), I came across a huge list (http://www.divx-digest.com/software/index4.html#launchers) of autolaunchers over at divx digest.
Problem is, there's so bloody many of'em !
Can anybody recommend one of these for my purpose?

The list is really huge.
When I was into launchers I tried some of them and I must say that the most of them are uncomfortable to use. Especially those that made for one player. Favours may change and autolauncher that is on CD becomes useless and even annoying. The most flexible is Compact Disc Autorun (http://www.utdallas.edu/~jbs024000/software/cda.html), I think. In my opinion, the best working 'autolauncher' is good working system with favourite decoder and player installed. ;)
DVD-like menus would be great! But right now the only container offering menu system is mp4 and the only player fully supporting it (Osmo4) is buggy. :(

and i release a mp4menu which is compatible with the enviviotv dshow filters, which means you can play dvd menus in .mp4 in any dshow based player (wmp9, mpc, bsplayer...)

Maybe 'buggy' is not the right word.
In another words: 'there is a LOT room for improvements'.
I still can not manage Osmo4 to play my files. :(

As for .mp4, envivotv & mp4menu...
I've never heard of any of the above, so if they are relevant to the topic of this thread, a little explanation would be nice.

However, I do not wish to use DVD menus, I just want to build my own simple menus for selecting between multiple .AVIs on a CD.

What I'm looking for are recommendations of autolaunchers that can auto detect & install xvid & or divx codecs, & do so silently.
Does anybody know if such a beast exists ?

Use DHTML, (assuming you use windows) just insert a WMP control into a web page and change the filename dynamically using DHTML, anything you want in a menu can be achieved using this system, you can even create chapter entries and have the clip/clips seek to any point using hyperlinks, and it should be easy enough to launch the web page automatically using autorun.inf and via a simple launch program.
