I am tryin to convert the Will and Grace Season 2 DVD (Region 1) to SVCD using D2S 1.2.2 Build 1.
Once the SVCD is converted the subtitles looks ugly with a grey highlight around all the alphabets. Below is the en1-1.txt log of one subtitle:

When I read the README file from the WinSubMux folder I found that WinSubMux only takes 4 colors. From the above log it looks like the subtitles are using 8 colors (Please correct me if I am wrong).
Is this the reason of ugly subtitles since WinSubMux is trying to convert an 8 color subtitle to 4 color subtitle?
If I manually set the subtitle (in WinSubMux) colors as follows, it makes the subtitles look good:
Color #1: $00 $00 $00
Color #2: $FF $FF $FF
Color #3: $FF $FF $FF
Color #4: $00 $00 $00
In D2S I can also set the SubTitle Palette. Can someone tell me what's the meaning of BLEND values? And how are they used with the color palette color specified by me.
Also I was under the impression that D2S is always using the default SubTitle palette. If this is true, then why are subtitles looking so bad on the SVCD created with this DVD? Is D2S having an known issue with more than 4 color subtitles?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
