In IfoEdit, search for the commands referring to SPreg<parental level (PLT)> (SPRM13) and bypass or remove them. Usually they are located in VMG among the first things executed.

i came across a dvd that didn't have SPreg<parental level (PLT) but in every menu PGC there was a Set GPreg<13> mov (set-val)<1>. found this out went i played the dvd in ifoedit and GPreg<13> was the only one with a value so i assumed it to be a parental level setting. i changed all the ones i can find to Set GPreg<13> mov (set-val)<0>. but still i cuold not play the dvd (maybe i missed one)
so then i seen that

Number of Countries 1
Number of Video Title Sets 6
End byte of PTL_MAIT table 127
Country_1: Country Code (ISO-9660) US
Country_1: PTL_MAI start byte 16
Parental mask for Parental Level 8 in VTS 0 32768
...cutted out this section...
Parental mask for Parental Level 6 in VTS 6 32768
Parental mask for Parental Level 5 in VTS 0 0
Parental mask for Parental Level 5 in VTS 1 0
Parental mask for Parental Level 5 in VTS 2 0

so i set level 5 to level 1 to a value 32768 and the dvd played.
then i pasted back the originals(so the dvd would set parental level) and changed the Number of Countries, Number of Video Title Sets and End byte of PTL_MAIT table to 0 and the dvd played as well.

would this work in my stand-alone too or does it only work in my software player(don't have any dvd-rw to test)and does this methoid work too?
