The aspect ratio of the original mov file is 16:9,but the final mpg file is 4:3,I'v tried everything I can,what should I do?

Did you mean the borders at the top of the video you can't see or it's 16:9 Letterbox (4:3)?
You have to put on 16:9 in the second part where you can see all filters and Full Screen (keep Aspect Ratio). Then it should work.;)

Well,the original mov is not Letterbox 16:9,theres no borders when they are played in quicktime.
this is my process:
project wizard>DVD NTSC(16:9) next>choose the source mov file>aspect ratio: 16:9 display next
what's wrong?

As source you have to set to 4:3 and then in the Aspect Ratio options on 16:9 (NTSC) anf Full screen (keep aspect Ratio).

mov is barely used in china,so i have to convert it into mpg format,many people even don't know quicktime
