No sound after splitting avi

Set video to direct stream copy, but after cutting the avi file, there isnt any sound.

AVI does in general not support VBR streams like Ogg Vorbis as audio stream; Nandub made it possible using a hack, but will not be able anymore to handle current Vorbis streams. AVIs with Vorbis audio streams cannot be played well - the stream gets lost on pausing, skips or jumps...

If you want to keep Vorbis audio, save as OGM or MKV, but not as AVI. VirtualDubMod will throw out the audio if it was Vorbis, and if you save as AVI.

So that means I have to extract the vorbis to other format (e.g Mp3) then combine as anotehr avi file , follow by the chopping?
