Hi,

I'm a beginner using instantcopy and have created a virtual drive with instantdrive.........

how the dippy-doo-dah do i get rid of the virtual drive?!

I have no experience with InstantCopy or InstantDrive, but if you're trying to "unmount" a file from your virtual drive, this should be a fairly easy procedure. Look for hints within the same interface you used to mount the drive, the app probably uses the same mechanism for both mounting and dismounting your files. If the utility has any kind of a help file to speak of, this information should be embedded there.

I take it this is what you mean by "get rid of", but if not, please elaborate.

Alternative sources of information would be the One Click forum here at Doom9, and a person can always resort to the Google button. When in doubt, "search" it out! :)

IIRC:
control panel
add/remove programs
select Instant Copy
Uncheck Instant Drive


Unfortunately my memory isn't worth snot, and I have a habit of remembering things wrong (not just forgetting them ["I forgot his name is Bob"], but remembering them wrong ["I remember now, his name is Chuck"]). Take this with a grain of salt.
