Vdubmod will positively not run

It won't run anymore and I have all the necessary dll's. Tried uninstalling handlers, downloading the binaries (different versions). Nothing helps.
Vdub works, but that's not much of a help.

It doesn't start at all. It did before, and it's the only software I'm currently having trouble with.


Edit1: I double click the icon, for 1/10 of a second the computer sounds like it's starting vdubmod, and then, nothing.

Edit2: Win XP pro, SP1 + just about all updates and patches.

I've searched and searched, and I suspect it's something dll-related. It's VDM 1.5.10.1, fresh install of WinXPProSP1 with all critical updates, only codecs are xvid1.01, ffdshow, acfilter and radium mp3. I tried installing the latest Java, VB6 files, I ran SFC (it said it found some missing dlls and replaced them, this might be the source of the problem), but it still doesn't work. VirtualDub regular runs fine. VDM 1.5.4.1 doesn't work either. ???

You don't have avisynth_c.dll in your avisynth folder do you? ;)There are a couple more dll's that stop VDM from starting... I think warpsharp is another(not sure at all).Put those in a separate folder and see it spring back to life

I moved every avisynth plugin to a new directory. Avisynth scripts should still work if I specify the directory with loadplugin()?

I gather that worked? lol. Yes you can load the plugins from wherever you want.
And no need to move them all either if you're lazy ;)
